Precision Off-Site Manufacturing in Sohar
Rapidwall is a precast gypsum based walling panel produced by Horizons Industrial Development Company (HIDC). Manufacturing takes place off-site in our dedicated Rapidwall production unit, strategically located in the Sohar Industrial Area Phase III, Sultanate of Oman.
The Rapidwall System streamlines the construction process by transferring the majority of on-site work to the factory. Here, large single-spanning walls, roofs, and ceilings are produced with high precision. These components are then easily erected on-site in a matter of hours rather than weeks, significantly accelerating project timelines.
Panel Technology & Materials
Advanced Panel Technology
Rapidwall panels are lightweight modular building components produced by moulding fiberglass reinforced gypsum (GFRG). Their reduced weight is achieved through the use of high-quality plaster and intelligently designed void spaces (chambers) between the two skins.
Versatile & Sustainable
A standard panel measures 12 x 3 meters (36 m²) and is produced on a casting table. Each panel is large enough to form an entire wall section, yet can be easily cut at the factory or on-site to accommodate diverse designs, including window and door openings. We utilize naturally occurring gypsum, an abundant worldwide resource (including by-product/waste gypsum), as the primary raw material.
Sohar Plant: Operational Excellence & Capacity
HIDC has been operating, testing, and perfecting the Sohar plant for Rapidwall manufacturing since 2009. Our facility is engineered for high-volume, consistent quality production.
